JORDAN’S REACH
2025 INITIATIVE

In line with royal directives, Jordan Vision 2025 has been formulated to pave the way for the future and establish a comprehensive framework that will guide economic and social policies, with a focus on creating opportunities for all. Its core principles encompass reinforcing the rule of law, promoting equal opportunities, fostering more participatory policy development, ensuring fiscal sustainability, and enhancing institutional capacity.

Achieving these objectives necessitates bolstering infrastructure, enhancing education and healthcare, as well as empowering the private sector and civil society institutions to contribute to the development process.

His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision seeks to position Jordan as a regional hub in the realms of information and communications technology and electronic commerce, ultimately transforming the nation into an information society equipped with the requisite capabilities to meet the challenges of the global knowledge economy.

To realize this vision, His Majesty initiated the “Educational Development Project Towards the Knowledge Economy” to revamp the educational system in the Kingdom, aligning it with local, regional, and international requirements and demands. The ‘Reach 2025’ initiative is a manifestation of the Royal Vision, instructing stakeholders in the sector to devise an action plan aimed at revitalizing information technology in the Kingdom and establishing Jordan as a regional center for the sector. This initiative encompasses a comprehensive vision and strategic plans geared towards harnessing technology for the benefit of all economic sectors.

The initiative comprises the following six main pillars

01

The first pillar

Developing human resources in alignment with the demands of the local market and working to bridge the gap between university education outputs and labor market requirements. All government schools have undergone computerization and electronic linkage, making Jordan a pioneering model that numerous countries in the Middle East and the Arabian Gulf have drawn valuable experience from in this domain.

02

The second pillar

Fostering entrepreneurial and startup companies by providing them with a supportive environment, as they are poised to shape the future of the sector.

03

The third pillar

Advancing smart infrastructure to establish a robust foundation for sector companies and products, enabling the creation of services and products that can benefit other economic sectors.

04

The fourth pillar

Enhancing the legislative and business environment.

05

The fifth pillar

Cultivating creativity and specialization to develop tools and services catering to specialized sectors.

06

The sixth pillar

Encouraging innovation within the public sector and facilitating its development and adoption of technology.
